For bread to go with the pasta, the country club offered popovers. This is not a typical type of bread to be served with pasta, but I do enjoy a good popover. They also had a salad bar set up that I tried, but I didn't take a picture. Overall, not bad for a golf course country club!

Timacuan Country Club in Lake Mary, FL
I ended up at the Timacuan Country Club in Lake Mary and decided to get some food there. They had a make your own pasta station set up, so I figured that was the thing to go with. I had the chef make me a plate of penne with shrimp, scallops, peppers, onions, broccoli, and sundried tomatoes all in an alfredo sauce. I think I did a good job selecting items to go into the pasta and the chef did a good job cooking the food because I thought the meal was pretty tasty!

Sizzler in Orlando, FL (International Drive)
Sizzler is a buffet chain that has several locations in Orlando. Originally, they were spread all over the area, but now they are limited to the touristy sections of town. To me, this implies that if you aren't a tourist, you probably won't be going to Sizzler. And yet, one evening, I ended up at the Sizzler across from Pointe Orlando on International Drive...
I started with a plate of salad. It was okay, but it can't compare to larger salad bars like Sweet Tomatoes.
Tacos...
This is the type of food that comes from Sizzler's hot food section. Mashed potatoes, macaroni & cheese, fried foods, and sausages.
Dessert.
After this visit, my opinion of Sizzler remains the same. If you live locally, you probably know that you shouldn't be going to Sizzler, but if you're like me, you may have eaten there on a few rare occasions and are probably in no rush to return...

Cajun Chicken Alfredo at the New Patio Grill in Sanford
I ate at the newly opened Patio Grill in Sanford, FL. After a ten minute wait for a table, I ordered the Cajun Chicken Alfredo.
Unlike the pasta that I ordered at the Patio Grill in Longwood, the pasta at this location came with a salad. They also had a salad bar at this new Patio Grill that was available for upcharge of a few dollars instead of this side salad.

The Cajun Chicken Alfredo was served after the salad in a deep square bowl. The portion was quite large, and consisted peppers, artichoke hearts, and spicy chicken, all in over pasta in an Alfredo cream sauce. Two pieces of garlic bread were served on the side.

I enjoyed the food I ate at this Patio Grill. It all tasted good, and from the amount of people eating at the restaurant, it looks like the Patio Grill people have a winning restaurant on their hands.
