Dunkin' Donuts Tasting Event

On the June 2nd, 2016 I got to go to a special Dunkin’ Donuts tasting event. It was the day before National Donut Day! I sampled their newest breakfast sandwiches, coffees, teas, Coolattas, and of course Donuts!
The Heath Bar iced coffee, the Sweet Black Pepper Bacon Sandwich and the Blueberry Cobbler Croissant Donut were my favorites!

The Sweet Black Pepper Bacon Sandwich had an amazing blend of sweet and peppery. I’m usually not a fan of croissant sandwiches but this was still very good. I also learned that you can get your sandwiches put on any kind of bagels, pastries or donuts!
I am a huge regular coffee fan. I was a little skeptical with the Almond Joy and Heath bar iced coffee, but both were good. The Heath bar was something I enjoyed more. It had a mocha coffee taste.
The Caramel Latte Square and Blueberry Croissant are the new donuts in town. Both were very good. The Caramel Latte Square was infused with real coffee. Dunkin’ Donuts Croissant donuts are my go to donut from Dunkin’. It has 24 layers and is so fluffy and moist.
Dunkin’ Donuts newest Coolatta flavors include Sour Apple, Blue Raspberry, and Watermelon. These drinks are popular with Millennials. These were a little too sweet for my tastes.
After all the tasting was done. We made Munchkin Trifles! We layered Dunkin’ Donuts Chocolate Munchkins, whipped cream, candy, and chocolate pudding! This would be fun to make at a kids party!

Overall, I am totally a fan of Dunkin’ Donuts. They have something for any taste palette to enjoy whether you are coffee drinker or not!

Doris' Italian Market & Bakery in Boca Raton, FL

Doris' Italian Market & Bakery
Doris' Italian Market & Bakery is a small chain of stores in South Florida. I was recently brought their store in Boca Raton and have since returned a few more times! The store was small, but they had some really interesting foods. Where else can you buy a whole goat head in the meat department? On all my visits, I passed on the exotic meats and went for the bakery. This was a bakery that you don't generally find in Florida. Italian bakeries like this are all over in the New York area, but I've yet to find something like this in the Orlando area...
Doris' Desserts
I've been to Doris' for their bakery a few times now. On one visit I had this canolli. Canollis are good...

Another time, I had this sfogliatelle. How can you go wrong with flaky dough filled with cheese and covered with powdered sugar?
Doris' Sfogliatella
I sampled their Chocolate Mousse Pie on a third visit. This was a towering chocolate pie, filled with mousse and whipped cream, then covered in a hard layer of chocolate. Very tasty...
DESSERT!

I'm hoping that one day Doris' Italian Market will expand from South Florida into the Orlando area. I'll definitely visit if they do!

Raphsodic Cooperative Company in Orlando, FL

Vegan Wasabi Almond Brownie
I visited a vegan bakery in Orlando on 17-92 called Raphsodic Cooperative Company. I had a Wasabi Almond Brownie. It tasted a lot like a normal brownie with the wasabi flavor kicking in as an aftertaste. It wasn't noticeable that this was dairy free. Pretty good...

Main Street Creamery in Lakeland, FL

Main Street Creamery
I had dessert from Main Street Creamery in Downtown Lakeland. In all of my visits to Lakeland, this was the first time I have ever seen this place open for business. Perhaps they figured it was a good idea to stay open with all of the people looking at the Christmas lights in Munn Park across the street. I had a small Coconut Chocolate Almond ice cream. It was Hershey's brand and was tasty!

Dunkin Donuts in Franklin Square, NY

dunkin donuts 8-11-09 Chocolate Chip Muffin
I really wasn't planning on getting anything when I entered this Dunkin Donuts with someone going to buy a coffee. Then I spotted this chocolate chip muffin and decided to buy it. My muffin impulse all had to do with the large sugar crystals on top of the muffin. If it wasn't for the sugar, I probably never would have bought the muffin. I ate and enjoyed!

Muffin from Starbucks along the Florida Turnpike

Starbuck's Chocolate Muffin
I ate a chocolate muffin from the Starbucks along the Florida Turnpike in the Port St Lucie/Ft Pierce Rest Area. I'm not a big fan of coffee drinks so I don't get drinks from Starbucks often, but I did like this muffin. It was chocolaty, but the chocolate wasn't overpowering. Technically, I would say it actually tasted much more like a brownie than a muffin...

Chicken Cannelloni from Romano's Macaroni Grill in Altamonte Springs, FL

I ate at the Romano's Macaroni Grill in Altamonte Springs, FL. I ordered their Chef's Trio.

A Caesar salad was served first.

I had Chicken Cannelloni for the main course. I consisted of pasta rolled around chicken, spinach, and cheese. The cannelloni was topped with a cream sauce, more cheese, and some tomato sauce.

Dessert came last. I had a slice of chocolate cake. It was good, but it was way too rich for me to eat much of the cake.

I had no complaints about the food. It was a pretty good deal to get all that for $12, and it all tasted good. Much better than Olive Garden.

Publix Cheesecake

Chocolate Covered Cheesecake
This is a chocolate covered cheesecake that came from the bakery in the Publix Supermarket in Lake Mary, FL (on Lake Mary Blvd). The cheesecake itself was good, but the chocolate covering wasn't that good. Since the cake was refrigerated, the chocolate got nice and hard. This didn't work too well since cutting the first slice of cake caused the hard chocolate to shatter on the whole cake. At the same time, the chocolate pieces pushed down into the cheesecake, squishing and crumbling the good part! It was tasty though.

Halloween Candy Corn

Brach's Autumn Mix
Target now has their Halloween department set up, and a bag of candy corn was purchased. Eating one or two pieces of the candy is good, but beyond that, the candy gets sicky-sweet. For some reason the non-traditional pumpkin-shaped candy corns tasted the best, although it's all the same candy.

I still want to try a a few of Hershey's Candy Corn and Pumpkin Spice Kisses that I originally saw at Hershey's Chocolate World. It's all too much candy though!

Hershey, PA

The Chocolate Avenue Grill
I ate lunch in Hershey, PA. I ate at a restaurant called the Chocolate Avenue Grill, across the street from the chocolate factory. I had something called a Noah Sandwich, which consisted of turkey, cheese, avocado, and bacon. I could have done without the bacon, but it was otherwise a good sandwich.

After lunch, I went to Hershey's Chocolate World and rode their Chocolate Factory Dark Ride, complete with singing cows and lots of fake chocolate. After it was over, they gave out these free samples...

In the gift shop after the ride, they did have all sorts of Halloween flavored Kisses that sounded good that I had never heard of like Pumpkin Spice, Caramel Apple, and Candy Corn...

Tuna & Ice Cream on a Long Island Beach

I ate on the beach today. I bought a tuna salad sandwich from the Waldbaums Supermarket in Long Beach, New York. The sandwich was put in a cooler and was taken a few miles up the road to Lido Beach, where it was eaten on the sand. It was a good sandwich.

While leaving the beach, a stop was made at Marvel Ice Cream in Lido Beach. They are a little ice cream shop with a giant ice cream cone on the roof that seems to specialize in soft serve ice cream. I didn't have much, but I did try some soft serve vanilla/chocolate twist and some pistachio ice cream. It tasted good and was pretty much what was expected from ice cream.
