Yeoman's Cask & Lion in Kissimmee, FL

I had lunch in the new Sunset Walk shopping center at Margaritaville in Kissimmee. I ate at Yeoman's Cask & Lion. This British themed restaurant sits beneath a replica of Big Ben. Big Ben fits perfectly for a resort complex with a tropical theme! The menu here seemed to be mostly burgers and sandwiches. There was a small portion of the menu which served stereotypical British food.
I ordered a sandwich called the Brie Castle. It was a fancy grilled cheese made from brie and muenster. Besides the cheese, there was pot roast, arugula, apple slices, and caramelized onions. Overall, the sandwich was mostly good. All the components made it much more interesting than a basic grilled cheese. A corner of the sandwich did have some pot roast that was fatty and inedible, but the rest of the sandwich was covered in nice and tender pot roast. Fries were served as a side.
Besides the little bit of chewy pot roast, I enjoyed my lunch here. I'd return to give them another try.

Toasted in Winter Park, FL

I've been to Toasted in Winter Park a few times now. They specialize in fancy grilled cheese sandwiches and burgers. I've tried a grilled cheese on every visit.

On one visit I tried the Fig and Goat. This grilled cheese was filled with havarti and goat cheese, fig, basil, and honey. Good flavors with a nice contrast of sweet fig and honey and savory cheese and basil.   The bread was the most disappointing part of the grilled cheese.
I had the Blackberry Melt on another visit. This grilled cheese had fontina cheese, bacon, blackberry, and arugula. Again, it had a nice contrast of sweet and salty. They used bacon bits instead of sliced bacon which was a little disappointing. Again, the boring white bread was the weakest part of the sandwich. The blackberry melt was still pretty tasty though. Of the two sandwiches, I liked this one the best. I ordered this with a side of macaroni and cheese, which was just okay.
I like the grilled cheeses at Toasted, but I wish they improved their breads. Interesting bread on their sandwiches could make their grilled cheeses so much better...

Ms. Cheezious in Miami, FL

I shared a sandwich from Ms. Cheezious at the Boca Raton Gourmet Truck Expo. Since this was a grilled cheese truck, we decided to go classic and get cheddar on rye bread with a side of fries. It was cheesy, greasy, and good!

Gastro-Truck

Gastro-Truck is one of the newest food trucks to start serving in the Orlando area. Everything that Gastro-Truck serves involves cheese in some shape or form. To put it simply, they specialize in really good variations of grilled cheeses.

I sampled the food from Gastro-Truck when they parked in Downtown Lake Mary for a press event.

I started by trying a Butterkase Slider. This sandwich was filled with butterkase cheese, prosciutto, and a cranberry-jalapeno spread.

Next up was the Mozzarella, Tomato, Basil and Marinated Portabello Mushroom Grilled Cheese. This vegetarian sandwich was one of my favorites out of everything I tried.

That's a Gouda Burger Slider was a stuffed burgers with lots of gouda hidden inside the meat. The sandwich was finished off with tomato, onion, avocado, smoked turkey, cheddar, and a siracha mayo.

The Pork Belly Grilled Cheese with fontina, cheddar and tapenade:

The Cuban Done Right Slider had roasted pork, ham, meunster cheese, pickles, and mojo mayo. Those thickly sliced pickles were really good!

The Mac & Cheese from Gastro-Truck was baked, giving it a nice crispy top while staying nice and creamy on the inside.
