Ichiban in Orlando, FL

Ichiban
I had lunch at Ichiban on Orange Ave in Downtown Orlando. After hearing nothing but good things about their food, I finally gave Ichiban a try...
Ichiban Sushi Bar
I ordered the Matsu Bento Box. It started with a salad.
Ichiban Salad
The box was filled with chicken, shrimp & vegetable tempura, california rolls, and fried rice. Everything in the box was delicious leaving me with no complaints about the food. This bento box did cost a bit more than other similar lunches I've had elsewhere. Given the downtown location and double meat, the higher price was fine, but it also would have been nice if they gave both soup and salad.

I enjoyed my meal and will be back...

Basil Shrimp from Bento Cafe

Plaza
I went to a movie at the new theater in the Plaza in Downtown Orlando. Although the theater serves actual food rather than the normal popcorn and candy, I passed on eating here. Instead, I went to Bento Cafe on the ground floor of the building.
Bento Box
I ordered the Basil Shrimp Bento Box. The shrimp were really good with plenty of basil. The rest of the box was filled with green beans, lo mein, salad, rice, and a butterfly cookie. Although the sides tasted good enough, I thought they could have been improved. There wasn't really enough of the sides to fill the box, so there was lots of empty plate below the food. Most bento boxes that I've had come with a California Roll too. Regardless, I'd definitely return to Bento Cafe!

Hibachi Chicken Bento from Bayridge Sushi

Once again, I ate at Bayridge Sushi in Longwood, FL. I ordered a Hibachi Chicken Lunch Bento for $7.95, which started with miso soup and salad.
Bayridge Sushi Soup and Salad
The soup and salad were followed by the bento, filled with the chicken, dumplings, rice, California rolls, and pineapple.

You really can't go wrong with one of these bento boxes. They come with a huge amount of food that is typically always good for a great price.

Bayridge Sushi Shrimp Tempura Bento Box

Last time I ate at Bayridge Sushi in Longwood, FL, I ate their Salmon Lunch Bento Box. I returned to the restaurant, and this time I ordered a Shrimp Tempura Lunch Bento Box. Miso soup and salad came out first, both of which were good. The box soon followed and consisted of shrimp and vegetables fried in tempura batter, California Roll, dumplings, rice, pineapple chunks, and a maraschino cherry. The tempura itself tasted okay, but I don't eat deep fried food that often, so fried taste got to be a bit much by the time I finished the shrimp and vegetables. Deep fried broccoli is a bit strange to me though. It kind of defeats the purpose by taking something healthy and sending it to the other side of the healthy spectrum.

Lunch at Fuji Sushi

I ate a lunch bento box from Fuji Sushi in Lake Mary, FL. It started with some miso soup...
Fuji Sushi Miso Soup
The soup was followed by the bento box, filled with Teppan Chicken, cucumber salad, rice, dumplings, a spring roll, and a California Roll. It tasted just fine, but was a bit more expensive when compared to Bayridge Sushi's similar lunch bento boxes.

Bayridge Sushi Bento Lunch Box

I ate lunch at Bayridge Sushi in Longwood, FL. Bayridge Sushi has very good priced bento boxes for lunch, with most of them under $7. I ordered the Hibachi Salmon Bento. Miso soup and salad came out first.
Miso Soup & Salad
The actual bento box soon followed, filled with salmon, rice, California Rolls, dumplings, and fruit. It was good, but my only complaint was about the salmon. It tasted fine, but should have been cut into smaller pieces. The pieces of fish given were very hard to eat with chopsticks, especially the pieces of salmon with lots of skin. Besides from this minor complaint, Bayridge Sushi's lunch bento boxes are very good!
