What visit to the Florida Keys would be complete without eating some conch? On a recent visit to Key West, I stopped into The Conch Shack on Duval Street for some conch fritters.
I ordered the three piece conch fritters after seeing they had "The Best Ever Conch Fritters."
After a few minutes, the conch fritters were ready. They were served hot out of the fryer with lime and dipping sauce on the side. The fritters were crispy on the outside, fried to a nice golden brown color, and were moist on the inside. Really tasty!

I just got back from the Keys as well and some of the best conch fritters I had were at the Key Largo Conch House on the Overseas Highway. They were a bit tucked away, but the fritters were amazing. They have this coconut and pineapple bread as well that is to die for. Definitely worth stopping by. I'm slacking on my write-ups, but hopefully I'll have something up soon.
I actually ate here! So excited to see it on your blog.
The main place I go for conch fritters (by the little aquarium around the corner) was closed. It was around 11pm so we quickly went back to this shack. It was phenomenal.
I truly believe a huge part of eating is the experience itself. And the "chef" gave my brother a large conch to blow. We hung out with a beer vendor lady and helped her sell beer with our slogan "Buy a beer and he'll blow his conch!!" We at one point had a large crowd enjoying our entertainment. We even met a German couple who were very friendly and had a great time as well.
I had the chicken tenders and fries along with the conch fritters. Everything was perfect. I think the chefs name was Dave, he wore glasses. Say hi to him for me if you happen to go back.
