Grease in West Palm Beach, FL

I was in West Palm Beach and had dinner at a restaurant called Grease. They had a sports bar vibe in the restaurant, only much more upscale than the typical sports bars that I've visited. I didn't know this before visiting the restaurant, but Grease has the same owners as Rocco's Tacos across the street.
I ordered the Seared Rare Tuna Sliders, topped with wasabi-mayo, pickled ginger, and cilantro. These three sandwiches were very tasty, except they weren't served rare as advertized on the menu. I was actually debating whether I should trust seafood that isn't fully cooked from a burger place before ordering, so I was perfectly fine with tuna burgers that were served well-done. If you're going to call something a seared rare tuna slider though, I would expect the tuna burger to still be pink on the inside. Regardless, these sliders were still really good and I did enjoy them.
I did enjoy the sliders, but just like Rocco's across the street, everything here was a bit pricy. For the prices they charged, including fries with their sandwiches would have been nice. Overall, Grease was alright, but nothing worth going out of my way to visit again.

LuLu's Oceanside Grill in Ormond Beach, FL

On a cold evening in Ormond Beach, I found myself eating an Ahi Tuna Wrap at a restaurant called LuLu's Oceanside Grill. The wrap was stuffed with the ahi tuna, wakame seaweed, cabbage, and teriyaki sauce. I was surprised to see the wakame in there, but it's all good. I love a good seaweed salad. This was the first time I've had it in a wrap though. Black beans and rice accompanied the wrap as a side.
I have nothing bad to say about my meal at LuLu's. Everything I tasted was good and the wrap utilized some unique ingredients. While I found much of LuLu's menu to be on the high side, I would still gladly return again to give them another try...

Jimmy John's in the UCF Arena

jimmy john's
I have heard good things about Jimmy John's sandwiches. I finally had the opportunity to try Jimmy John's at the location inside of the UCF area, and I can't say I was very impressed. The bread was mushy, white, squished, and soggy all at once. The tuna in the sandwich tasted okay, but there wasn't too much of it on the sandwich and the amount of lettuce and sprouts was just sad. After eating this sandwich, I now know the reason why the nearby Subway is always busy and Jimmy John's is always empty.

Tuna Sub from Subway in Uptown Altamonte

Subway Tuna Fish
I shared a $5 footlong tuna sub from the Subway in Uptown Altamonte. Somehow there was bacon mixed in with the tuna, and they were stingy with toppings, so that's not good. Rather than eating in the restaurant, we walked across the street to Cranes Roost Park and ate outside there. It was cold...

Dinner at Bayridge Sushi

I had dinner at Bayridge Sushi in Longwood, FL. I've never been here at dinner time, and it was even more packed than the place gets for lunch. It seemed like all you could eat sushi was the thing to get, with the sushi being made at a lightning fast speed. There was no question here whether the fish was out too long.

The unlimited sushi cost a bit more than I wanted to spend at $20, so I went with some individual rolls and miso soup.
Miso Soup
I ordered a Wasibi Roll first. It was filled with half tuna and half salmon, along with cucumber and avocado. It was topped with orange and green fish eggs. I liked it, although the salmon kept on sliding out of the roll. It was a little spicy, but not too bad.

While everyone else ordered their second rounds of all you can eat sushi, I ordered a California Roll so I'd have something to do. It tasted like a California Roll should.

Publix Stardust Combo

Publix Sushi Stardust Combo
I ate some sushi from Publix today. I had what they called a Stardust Combo. I can't think of how they came up with the name, but it was tasty. It consisted of Californa Rolls, Tsunami Rolls, Cucumber Rolls, and Tuna Rolls.

Tuna Sandwich from Subway

Tuna Sub from Subway
I split a twelve-inch tuna sub with someone at the Subway in Sanford, FL near Seminole Community College. It was on wheat bread and was topped with lettuce, green peppers, black olives, onions, pickles, mayo, oil & vinegar, and salt & pepper. It was nothing exceptional, but at least Subway doesn't use the nasty chunk-light canned tuna anymore and now uses the better chunk white tuna.

Tuna & Ice Cream on a Long Island Beach

I ate on the beach today. I bought a tuna salad sandwich from the Waldbaums Supermarket in Long Beach, New York. The sandwich was put in a cooler and was taken a few miles up the road to Lido Beach, where it was eaten on the sand. It was a good sandwich.

While leaving the beach, a stop was made at Marvel Ice Cream in Lido Beach. They are a little ice cream shop with a giant ice cream cone on the roof that seems to specialize in soft serve ice cream. I didn't have much, but I did try some soft serve vanilla/chocolate twist and some pistachio ice cream. It tasted good and was pretty much what was expected from ice cream.
